I am Rita Gabriel, a senior undergraduate architecture student at the American University in Cairo. I have always considered architecture to be my biggest passion and strive day by day to make a change in the field. Architecture has taught me many skills including but not limited to time management, problem-solving, leadership, creative thinking, and thinking out of the box. I worked as an undergraduate teaching assistant in 2 different courses and work towards deepening my experience and knowledge in other courses. Recently, sustainable design has been very prominent on my radar and I would like to delve in this field further as I believe this is the path for the future.
Engaged Sustainable Futures offers a platform for interdisciplinary ventures that aim to uncover the many possible sustainable futures of the built environment. Based in the Department of Architecture at the American University in Cairo, ESF MAM-BE achieves its vision through research, pedagogy, and creation.
