Rana Raafat is a LEED Green Associate Architect. She graduated in 2018 from Cairo University's Faculty of Architectural Engineering. She is really enthusiastic about environmental design and sustainability. Currently, she is employed as an environmental design architect at Environas for environmental consultancy. Rana is currently working on her Master's degree in environmental studies at Cairo University. Her thesis discusses improving the interior environmental quality of office buildings in Egypt, She also serves as a sustainability development ambassador for the Ministries of Planning and Environment.
Engaged Sustainable Futures offers a platform for interdisciplinary ventures that aim to uncover the many possible sustainable futures of the built environment. Based in the Department of Architecture at the American University in Cairo, ESF MAM-BE achieves its vision through research, pedagogy, and creation.
