Mariam Bechir

Mariam is a senior undergraduate student at The American University in Cairo. The idea of studying architecture came as a surprise to me in the beginning but throughout the years I have developed so much when implementing an architectural concept in different ways. A new concept, sustainability, was recently introduced to me when I joined COP27 which then opened many gates in my thinking process when I started my Design III studio. Currently, I believe that sustainability is the future of architecture and am excited to delve into deeper opportunities that will expand my knowledge in the field.
