Habiba Rizk is a senior Architecture student at The American University in Cairo. Rizk is pursuing her interest in environmental and sustainable design by taking part in an undergraduate research offered by the University and by being an undergraduate teaching assistant in an Environmental Design Class. Rizk took part in working in a collaborative project of designing Bike lanes in Downtown Cairo; such collaboration between UN-Habitat, AUC and University of Sheffield nurtured her knowledge and gave her the boost to pursue her design thinking in the environmental and sustainable perspective. Rizk also interned in several construction sites and overlooked several projects including a major project by “Emaar Misr” and is fulfilling her curiosity in the construction field by participating in more.
