Donna Ebeid is an Architect with more than 4 years of professional experience, an MSc student, and a Teaching Assistant (TA) at The American University in Cairo (AUC), Construction Engineering Department. Before that, she completed her BSc degree in Architectural Engineering at AUC with high honors. Throughout her professional experience, Donna worked on mega construction projects in Egypt from conceptual design to construction drawings stage, and participated in two design competitions. As an MSc student, Donna’s master’s thesis focuses on “The impact of climate change on the external wall and roof systems retrofits for optimizing energy consumption and thermal comfort of social housing in Egypt”. Her research interest is in green buildings and energy-efficient building optimization.
Engaged Sustainable Futures offers a platform for interdisciplinary ventures that aim to uncover the many possible sustainable futures of the built environment. Based in the Department of Architecture at the American University in Cairo, ESF MAM-BE achieves its vision through research, pedagogy, and creation.
